It was finally time for her to speak up.
New York-based country singer-songwriter Liv Waters, like most of us, has been harboring feelings of sadness and remorse over the insensible mass shootings that have occurred across America in recent years.
After last month’s mass murder in Thousand Oaks, California Waters felt that her new song, which narratives from the victim’s point of view, was ready to be released. “When the Young Die”, as much a musical thought piece as a country song, speaks directly to the unreasonable loss of innocent lives, but with an uplifting twist.
All proceeds from this song, as Waters tells us, will go directly to all of those effected by hate crimes. As she explains: “I want to spread love, healing, and happiness with this single….I want to make a change with this song.”
“When the Young Die” was released on Friday, December 7th and is available for streaming on all platforms today. You can find more information about Liv Waters at her site here, and find her on Instagram here.
