Flash Feature! Patrick Murphy Sets the Stage For a Promising Career

Country-pop singer-songwriter Patrick Murphy has one of those voices that makes you stop and listen. With tonality and vocal ranges that resemble radio stars like Brett Young and Dan + Shay coupled with songwriting talents to live up to his heroes Billy Joel and Zac Brown Band, Murphy is a talent that belongs at the top of the charts.

Based out of Nashville and booking shows throughout the summer in Minnesota, Murphy is following up his 19:03 P.M. Where I’m From2018 LP with a new single titled “Nothing but the Rain”. The song, which was released this month, showcases his pop country songwriting expertise and explodes with a chorus that demands attention.

Teaching himself to play piano at the young age of three, Murphy has been a life-long musician. Adding songwriting to his talents in his late teens, he attributes his musical versatility to learning a wide range of playing styles while growing up and presently collaborating with other phenomenal songwriters and musicians.

A potential staple of any karaoke room, “Nothing but the Rain” packs fiery vocal summits and smooth rhythmic vibes into a tightly-knit three and a half minute song. Co-written on a rainy day in Nashville by Jay Brunswick, the song is supported by the occasional rainstorm and thunder crackle soundbite and appears as the latest in an otherwise impressive discography from 21-year-old Murphy.

Working on new music with friends Matthew Davidson and Cole Linebarger, Murphy attests to having more music on the way and dreams of playing an eventual show at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado.
