Release Row — Brushville Rises Up In the Taking You Higher EP

About 150 miles southwest of Chicago resides the small city of Bloomington-Normal, an urban center that lies in the heartbeat of Illinois.  Lighting up bars, venues, and festivals around the Bloomington-Normal area and across the nation for the last decade has been the country rock group Brushville, whose surefire attitude and honest work ethic have given them a foundation to record and release radio-ready country hits for the past five years.

Having won massive battle-of-the-bands style contests and shared stages with country stars like Keith Urban, Alan Jackson, and Jake Owen, Brushville is following up their 2014 album Brushville with a new record to stand on the shoulders of, the Taking You Higher EP, which they released last week.

Boasting crisp production and seamless mixing courtesy of Grammy-nominated producer Erik Nelson, Taking You Higher EP was recorded at the local Eclipse Studio in Bloomington and features the latest single “Somewhere In Love”.

An acoustic-led power ballad built for any and all summer playlists, the record’s second single (which follows the well-received 2018 summer anthem “Girl in a Trucker Hat”) is a strong indicator into the band’s ability to create tangible sensation and raw excitement through music, lyrics, and energy.

Brushville’s latest single, “Somewhere In Love”.

Touring throughout the Midwest this year and with more music videos on the way, Brushville is a fresh face (or four) in the country rock scene, and a band that we’ll be hearing about for a long time.
