In today’s crazy world you can certainly count on a daily dose of light-hearted country doing wonders for the quaratined soul; the latest single “Home Is Where You Are” from Brooklyn-based country singer Lauren Jaimes and its accompanying music video are exactly the positivity dose you’re looking for.

Originating from Miami, FL and idolizing country heroes of past and present like Johnny Cash, Kacey Musgraves, and Margo Price, Lauren Jaimes presents a bright and bubbly single that is helping to shed light on these dark times.
The new single which closely resembles the acoustic-based folk melodies of John Denver, another one her influences, works to tackle the difficult yet all-too-real picture of being stuck at home. Presenting a counter-narrative to physical isolation, however, the song emphasizes an unexpected position on the importance of maintaining close connections to others. While we might not all be together physically in this exact moment, Jaimes’ declaration of “my home is where you are” offers hope and connectivity to all of those feeling a little bit further from their friends and loved ones as of late.
A self-confessed songwriter from an early age, Jaimes developed her craft at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA before bringing her musical talents to New York City and releasing her debut country-folk EP Here To Stay in 2018.
